Color block Trend - Summer 2011

 Color Block revine in forta in acest sezon. Desi nu este un trend nou, el a fost continuu reinventat de catre designerii celebri inca din anii '60 si pana in prezent. Jocul de culori presupune combinare a două sau mai multe blocuri de culoare într-un ansamblu, indiferent daca este o rochie, o tunica, o pereche de  pantofi sau chiar bijuterii. De cele mai multe ori culorile trebuie sa fie luminoase, foarte puternice si complementare. Jos puteti vedea cateva exemple din care va puteti inspira in aceasta vara.

Color Block comes back strongly this season. Although it is not a new trend, it has been continuously reinvented by famous designers since the early 60s until now. The trend  involves color combination of two or more blocks of color in an ensemble, be it as a dress, a tunic, a pair of shoes or jewelry. The often bright colors must be very strong and complementary. Below are some examples which will inspire you this summer.

Well, I must confess that working with clay is not that easy as I have imagined...especially because it was an air-dry clay, that after some molding , shaping and reshaping it lost its flexibility. But I have done it and what resulted is quite spectacular :-) Well...I'll let you be the judge of that. Girl With A Pearl Earring - Pearl Earrings

După vizionarea filmului din 2003 despre viata   celebrului pictor olandez Johannes Vermeer , m-am i ndragostit de superba lui opera de arta " Fata cu cercel de perla ". De aici si inspiratia mea pentru aceste 2 perechi  de cercei . Realizati cu perle Marseille de mari dimensiuni, cu nuanțe de gri petrol si ivoire - argintiu , montate pe baze de cercei placati cu rodiu. Disponibili in magazinul Etsy .  After watching the 2003 beautiful movie featuring the life of the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, I absolutely fell in love with his gorgeous art work "Girl with a Pearl Earring".
